Monorail Weight Pocket Recall FAQs
Consistent with our safety-first philosophy, SCUBAPRO is conducting a voluntary recall of all sizes (standard and mini) and all colors of the Monorail Weight Pockets sold between November 29, 2025 and February 9, 2026.
The D-ring handle that is used to unlock the weight pocket from a buoyancy compensator device (BCD) can detach during use. If this happens, the user will not be able to remove the weight pocket in an emergency to rise to the surface, posing a risk of serious injury or death from a drowning hazard.
SCUBAPRO will provide free repairs of Monorail Weight Pockets at an authorized dealer or through SCUBAPRO directly. We expect repairs to begin early May 2026. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we assure you that we are working as quickly as possible to repair your product.

The Hydros Pro 2 BCD is not affected by this recall and may continue to be used; provided, however, that if weights are necessary for a dive, an alternative weight source must be used until your Monorail Weight Pockets are repaired.
