An Interview with Jane Bowman
Why did you decide to take the giant stride into the oceans?
It was a natural progression from being an avid swimmer as a child & teenager, and being a lover of all animals.
How has diving changed your life?
I have traveled extensively to some of the most amazing places in the world, have seen stunning marine life, wrecks & caves.
What kind of diving do you like to do?
Cave diving & underwater photography.
Tell us about one of the most amazing experiences you have had underwater?
? Interacting with octopusses, new-born seahorses, a massive (white) Short Tail stingray & sea lions.
Where are some of your favorite places underwater?
Truk Lagoon, Mt Gambier, Dumaguete (Philippines)
What is your advice to someone considering diving?
Don’t think about it for another minute. Just get diving now, get yourself underwater as you’ll never regret it.
What would you tell people about the oceans?
Protect, protect, protect.
What does diving mean to you?
I can’t imagine not being underwater, it’s my passion, I love to teach, the adventure and the thrill.
What's your favorite thing in your dive bag?
My underwater camera and lights!
