WHY DID YOU BEGIN DIVING?
"You’d think I began diving cause I loved the water … well it wasn’t, I actually didn’t like the water. It all began with $250 being pushed across a bar table, from a good family friend (Colin) to me and then to Brian the Dive Instructor. Colin, paid for me to do my open water. He’d just finished his and loved it and wanted me to experience the same thing. I’d never even thought of diving before that. I started my PADI open water and loved it so much that I finished my advanced in the same weekend as well. My love for the ocean and diving had started and it has grown ever since. I only wish I had started earlier in my life, as it changed my life forever."
WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE DIVE DESTINATION?
"I don’t know if there is a favorite dive destination, so many people ask me this question. Every place around the world I have dived I’ve loved for its unique life, location or reefs, they all have something special to offer. I do have a big place in my heart though for a little place called Sipadan and Kapalai in Malaysia; I got to spend 4 years diving there and saw some amazing life and reefs. One of the large biospheres on the planet for Macro and Megafauna. Every day you could see something different and unique."
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SCUBAPRO GEAR?
"They make so many, I really loved my X-Tek harness, but now I’m diving with the Hydros X BCD and OMG AMAZING, it’s like a big hug underwater, it wraps around your body and holds you tight :)I also LOVE the new HUD, it has been a game changer for me. I hold a camera all the time underwater and occasionally have to let go to see what my G2 dive computer has to say, BUT NOW, all you need to do is …. wait for it … LOOK UP and all your info is right in front of you, AMAZING."
HOW HAS SCUBAPRO GEAR HELPED YOU LIVE OUT YOUR PASSION?
"It’s an indestructible product, I started using SCUBAPRO when I was a Divemaster in Malaysia, my trusty SCUBAPRO MK10 First Stage, must have logged a few thousand dives and it, always flowed really well.
