Where are the best dive spots near you?

  • The Shore dives off the North Norfolk coast are really fun.   There are great dives accessible straight from the beaches off Sheringham, Weybourne, Cley and East Runton, with a maximum depth of 8 metres and lots of life.   There are hundreds of shipwrecks further off the Norfolk coast which can be accessed by rib.

What would you see at the dive site(s)?

  • Chalk reef,  Plumose anemones, Bass, crabs, lobsters, nudibranchs, occasional catfish and cuttlefish, and WW1 shipwrecks.

When is the best time to go?

  • These sites have to be dived at slack water (1.5 hours after high tide or low tide).
  • The shore dives only really have visibility from end of June to mid October, while the rib dives start around the end of May.

Recommended gear for the dive?

  • Thick wetsuit or drysuit.
  • SMB & Reel.
  • Camera.
  • Torch.
  • Compass.

How do you get to the dive site?

  • The Shore dives are accessible straight from the beach.   Our local BSAC clubs run the rib dives to reach wrecks further off the coast.

Who takes the divers out?

  • This is an opportunity to plug your team’s expertise.  The shore dives are generally unguided although the team at Christal Seas Scuba can put you in touch with other divers who know the area and are happy to show you around.   The local BSAC clubs run the rib dives to reach wrecks further off the coast.
