Which is the best diving spot near you?

  • Geiseltal diving center, on the Stöbnitz peninsula, 06249 Müchel.

  • Dive to our shark from Shark Protect or to our 13 meter shipwreck Pauline at a depth of 20 meters, experience the free fall into our underwater forest (boat TG) and dive through it

What is there? What is special to experience there?

  • You can expect an underwater forest with trees, some of which have grown up to 25 m high - on several 1000 m2. A wide plant belt, big fish and countless shells accompany you on the way to the 13m steel wreck Pauline. For beginners in orientation, a rope parcour leads to individual dive sites. There are dive sites for every skill level (gradually deepening, fast dropping, blue water dive from boat,)

When is the best time to dive there?

  • Our diving center is open all year round and the dive sites can be dived all year round.
  • In the cold months there is visibility of up to 20 m, in the warm months visibility is usually at least in double digits, depending on the summer.

What equipment do you recommend for the dive?

  • For scuba divers up to 20 m diving depth - summer / autumn - we recommend at least a neoprene suit 5mm upwards, a hood is strongly recommended.

  • TG deeper or just all year round - good semi-dry two-piece or dry suit, scootering is allowed, as well as free diving. Missing equipment can be borrowed.

How to get to the dive spot?

  • The registration is located above the lake and the campsite. There the briefing and agreement on where to dive takes place. Due to the large extent of the lake and the various dive sites (approx. 20 by land and X x boat), a shuttle for the divers to the dive site is essential. We make fantastic dives possible for you. Camping site guests are picked up and brought back directly from their camp site. For divers who are planning a second dive at the same entrance, we shuttle the tanks to fill.
  • For boat dive sites you can easily start at the beach pier. Our boat accommodates diving groups of 6-8 divers. Trip times can be 15-60 minutes to the boat dive sites depending on weather conditions and dive site. (Boat only with prior registration/arrangement)

Would you recommend a guide?

  • Depending on the dive site, you can also book a guide. Many dive sites are self-explanatory, some just special. Even newcomers can easily find their way around the main entrance - we have introduced a course made of lines and natural signposts to the diving spots.

What courses can I do with you? How can the diver best contact you?

  • With us you can try diving and be trained as a scuba diver. Our team of diving instructors also trains handicap, children, apnea, nitrox, trimix, scooter, cave and intermediate brevets up to the respective diving instructor. If we plan to train as a diving instructor (for all of the specializations mentioned above), we can use the extensive possibilities of the lake and do not have to go abroad to take exams. Our own flexible examination committee is up-to-date and interested in interested parties and takes into account the date requests of the examinees. You can also live with us on the base or on our spacious holiday farm - according to the motto: "By divers for divers"!
