An Interview with MOHAMED ALI (MOE)

Why did you decide to take the giant stride into the oceans? 

I loved diving since I was young but didn't know how or where to start. I began diving by chance in Dahab and was encouraged to get certified by my coach after being praised for my underwater skills. I fell in love with the Scubapro suit I used during my first dive and went on to purchase it, which marked the beginning of my relationship with Scubapro and diving in the Red Sea.

How has diving changed your life?

I started diving three years ago. It made me a different personality, from an amateur person at the beginning of his days in diving to a person known to all divers around the world. This really makes me very happy and makes me feel responsible towards preserving the marine environment and providing more in this field so that I can be Beneficial to others I am really happy with who I am now.

What kind of diving do you like to do?

The Red Sea is an exceptional location for underwater photography and videography because of its crystal-clear waters, diverse marine life, and consistent warm temperatures. With visibility of up to 30 meters.

Tell us about one of the most amazing experiences you have had underwater? 

I was going diving with one of my friends in Ras Mohammed, Shark Observatory, and this was the first time I dived in this site. It was an exploratory dive for the site at that time, and during the dive we met two of the largest sharks for the first time in my life. I felt adrenaline flowing in my head. A feeling of happiness came over my veins, after they had gone away. I finished the dive after 17 minutes. I said to myself: What will we see better than this after that? Let's finish this wonderful dive. We have seen enough to be happy today.

Where are some of your favorite places underwater?

The Red Sea Egypt, I am very lucky I belong to this place. Sharm El Shekh and Dahab will always have a special place in my heart as well.

What is your advice to someone considering diving?

Listen to everyone's advice and do not feel arrogant underwater and keep marine life as if it were a member of your family.

What would you tell people about the oceans?

Remember, healthy oceans are essential for our survival. Join us in protecting them through responsible diving and being a part of the solutions to our planet's challenges. Let's make a positive impact, one dive at a time.
